The Dean of Jamoum University College, Dr. Suhail bin Salem Al-Harbi, sponsored the events of the "Jamoum Talented Female Students" forum launched at the University College yesterday. This took place in the presence of the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs at Jamoum University College, Dr. Rabab Jassas, the Assistant Director General of Educational Affairs at the Department of Education in Makkah, Ms. Lamia Bashawri, and the Headmaster of the Holy Quran Memorization School in Jamoum governorate, Ms. Maryam Al-Bishri, as well as her aides and talented female students.
The forum started with the launch of the book, "Be an Author", written by a group of students from the Holy Quran Memorization School in Jamoum governorate, under the supervision of the teacher Dr. Huda Al-Lihyani. The book contains a collection of stories that were composed as part of the Activity Hour Programs initiative that was implemented in the school during the second semester 1439–1440. An application was designed to upload some stories which each student converted into a video, putting her own barcode next to each story.
In his speech, the Dean of Jamoum University College, Dr. Suhail Al-Harbi, said that the "Jamoum Talented Female Students" forum is one of the programs and activities through which they seek to care for the students, cultivate their talents, and learn about the activities that they can engage in when they join the university. He extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who contributed to make this forum a success.
In turn, the Assistant Director General for Educational Affairs at the Department of Education in Makkah, Lamia Bashawri, expressed her gratitude to Umm Al-Qura University for its support of the talented female students. She also appreciated the step taken by the Makkah Literary Cultural Club to publish the book, "Be an Author", indicating that the forum contributed to enriching the knowledge of these talented students.
The forum included a presentation of the projects of the talented female students under the slogan, "Creativity 2020", which is based on innovation and scientific research.
