The General Administration of Institutional Communication at Umm Al-Qura University, along with the deanships, the educational and research institutes, and the different university departments, examined the strategic orientations for effective internal communication with the aim of coming up with modern communication ideas and methods that are in line with the requirements of the era. This goal was achieved through the implementation of interactive workshops, held on Sunday and Monday, 23 and 24 February, at the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality. The activities were attended by a number of male and female deans, heads of academic departments, and directors of university departments.
The workshops discussed the developments of communication techniques and modern means of communication, which aim at enhancing internal and external communication and interaction. They also tackled a review of the most prominent, successful institutional communication experiences.
It is worth noting that these workshops are the first efforts of the General Administration of Institutional Communication to establish communication strategies in partnership with the university entities. The workshops aim at raising the level of direct coordination between the internal bodies to unify communication visions and define common goals, keeping them in line with the university's goals.
