“Events and Exhibitions Center” Renamed to “Events Center”

The President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, issued an administrative resolution.

Mr. Esam bin Hasan Marqoushy, UQU President Advisor, clarified that the resolution came in the light of the comprehensive developmental movement in all domains which UQU witnessed. It also was in order to continue the university's efforts in the process of working hard to achieve its future objectives, vision and mission to be a leader in its various programs and activities which were consistent with KSA Vision 2030. Moreover, UQU President’s resolution aimed at unifying the efforts of some committees and units under one umbrella to organize and prepare for launching many events, celebrations, seminars and conferences at the university. The resolution of UQU President included the following:

First:   Editing the title, “UQU Events & Exhibitions Center” to be “UQU Events Center” in accordance with the tasks entrusted to it.

Second: Associating the Center with UQU Vice-President.

Third: Assigning Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman bin Mahmoud Maghrabi to be General Supervisor of the Center.

Fourth: Assigning Employee/ Muhammad bin Nawawy Aman Flimban to be Manager of the Center.

Fifth: Assigning Employee/ Ruba bint Jamal bin Muhammad Ghazzawi to be Assistant Manager of the Center (Female Section).       

Sixth: Conveying the following employees to serve on the Center:

1 . Sami bin Mahmoud Suleiman Salama, designated as ninth-rank Mechanic.

 2. Mohammed bin Hassan Yousef Qurban, designated as eighth-rank Cameraman.

3. Asim bin Siraj Mullah Abdul Samad, designated as seventh-rank Maintenance Technician.

4.  Hashim bin Abdulrahman Mohammed Bafakih, designated as seventh-rank Administrative Assistant.

5 . Mohammed bin Daifullah Salman As-Sibyani, designated as third-rank clerk.

6. Hanadi bint Akram bin Abdurraheem Al-Siddiqi, seventh-rank employee.

Seventh: transferring the following staff to work at UQU Press (as calligraphers):

  1. Ahmad bin Kamal Ahmad Sufiani, designated as seventh-rank Administrative Assistant (Calligrapher).
  2. Faisal bin Jamil Abdulqader Al-Sulaimani, designated as seventh-rank clerk (Calligrapher).

Eighth: This resolution eliminates all contradictions with its previous resolutions.

Ninth: This resolution is applicable as of 26th Rabi’II 1438H.

May Allah, the Almighty, support and guide them to fulfill their duty towards science and students and upgrade UQU to reach for its aspired objectives.
