Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Institution of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, ranked third among the universities and colleges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with regard to entrepreneurial activity, as published by the 'Access to Entrepreneurship' Initiative.
Umm Al-Qura University topped 48 universities and colleges in the field of entrepreneurship, and in supporting entrepreneurial projects, developing the emerging sectors, and supporting the youth. This is by harnessing all material, scientific and logistical means to stimulate the growth of these projects.
The study also stated that Umm Al-Qura University has supported entrepreneurship by adopting more than 30 emerging projects and startups, in addition to establishing business accelerators, introducing a diploma in Innovation Management in Entrepreneurship, and providing a number of services in this field.
It is worthy of note that this initiative seeks to measure and monitor the indicators of universities and educational and academic colleges in youth empowerment, enhance the role of educational institutions in economic prosperity, and diversify the sources of income for the Saudi Kingdom according to the Saudi Vision 2030.
