On Thursday, Rab. II 21, 1438H, at 10.00AM, Umm al-Qura University (UQU) will launch Charity Fund for Scholarship Student Support in Abdiyah Campus, in the presence of the UQU President, Dr. Bakri M. Assas.
The Charity Fund aims to enhance the scientific and educational status of scholarship students. By so doing, the university seeks to create a learning environment that stimulates academic attainment, supports students, and meets their financial needs, by means of offering grants, gifts, loans and rewards, or by offering them part-time jobs in the university.
One of the objectives of the Fund is to prompt students towards academic excellence, creativity and innovation, as well as leveraging their great potentials and capabilities, meanwhile empowering the role of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers.
The fund will be financing grants of scholarship students, Arabic learning for non-native speakers projects, fulfilling technical, human, financial and technological requirements of the Fund's programs and projects, as well as educational, developmental and da'wa programs targeting student programs.
