Umm Al-Qura University implemented its awareness plan with a variety of educational programs and activities to educate the UQU students on the preventive measures against the Novel Coronavirus (CoV). This came as part of a mobile campaign at the entrances to the main gates of the university which was launched by the students of the Awareness Club at the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Counseling, Guidance, and Community Partnership today, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Health Affairs in the Holy Capital, Makkah.
The club superintendent, Ms. Naimah Al-Mahammadi, stated that awareness activities enhance the integrative role of the deanship's programs in educating the students about the symptoms of the Novel Coronavirus and ways to prevent it.
The University Medical Center also established interactive corners that include medical advice for travelers and the correct ways to wash and sterilize hands, in addition to educating the UQU staff about the differences between the new and old Coronavirus and the reasons for its spread. The activities were presented by Dr. Amira Bintin, Dr. Fatmah Al-Falih, and Dr. Haya Al-Rooqi.
