His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, at his office today, received the expert of scientific research methodologies at Portsmouth University, United Kingdom, Prof. Khalid Al-Husaini. The meeting took place in the presence of the Dean of the College of Business Administration, Prof. Ihsan Al-Muataz.
This visit aimed at holding workshops for the academic staff members and postgraduate study students in all fields of specializations. These workshops will tackle the scientific bases for writing successful research proposals, procedures of international publishing, scientific bases for writing research papers, and how to apply and prepare well for external scholarships.
On his part, the President of Umm Al-Qura University praised the visit undertaken by Prof. Al-Husaini, and asserted the importance of paying great care to scientific research and of supporting scientific and research cadres. This is because they play a great role in perceiving concepts and facts, firmly establishing sciences, and renewing cognitive sources in the educational institutions.
