On Tuesday 10 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., the Intellectual Awareness Unit held a lecture entitled: ‘The Basic System of Governance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from a Shari`ah-Related Perspective’. The lecture was delivered by His Eminence Dr. Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Saeedi in Prince Faisal bin Fahd Hall at Al-Aziziyyah Campus, and was broadcast to the female section.
Dr. Al-Saeedi explained that the basic system of governance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is based on the rulings of Shari`ah (Islamic law), and that the rulers of the Saudi Kingdom, since its foundation until the present time, apply such rulings.
