UQU President Receives Pharmacy College's Annual Report

On Monday, Rabee' II 18, 1438H, the UQU President, Dr. Bakri M. Assas, received Dr. Ahmed O. Babelgheith, dean of the College of Pharmacy, at his office in Abdiyah Campus, where he was given the Pharmacy College Annual Report 1436/1437H.

Dr. Assas listened to an elaborate account of the report, and the statistics it includes on the college's academic and developmental achievements, to the effect that the college has obtained international academic accreditation. Besides, he touched on the strategic planning indicated in the college's vision and mission. That is to be added to the analysis of the college's internal and external community, as well as analysis of beneficiaries' expectations. In doing so, the college has been inspired by the UQU strategic objectives, the National Transformation Program 2020, as well as the Saudi Vision 2030. So far scientific research is concerned, the report highlighted that the college funded 23 research projects for various bodies, and published 64 papers over the academic year 1436/1437H. In addition, the college participated in 25 conferences and 75 workshops. The report touches on the College-community relations. In this regard, 27 awareness-raising workshops were organized for the public, where pharmaceutical consultancy was offered, and lectures were given with the purpose of upgrading pharmacists' specialized knowledge and practice. Over and above, the college participated in a number of world health days, in its pursuit to raise public awareness.

The UQU President thanked Dr. Babelgheith and all Pharmacy College staff for their outstanding efforts aimed at supporting the college students. He wished them all success with their roles and responsibilities.

Dr. Babelgheith, for his part, speaking on behalf of all the college staff, extended sincere, profound thanks to the UQU President, Dr. Assas, for his unstinting support, colossal efforts and impressive follow-up.
