On Wednesday, the Director of the UQU English Language Center, Dr. Ahmad Qadi, and the Dean of the English Language Institute at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Abdullah Al-Barqi, signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the academic, research, development, training, and cultural fields between the two institutions.

The memorandum signing ceremony took place in King Faisal Hall at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. The memorandum aims to set a general framework within which to coordinate cooperation between the English Language Institute at King Abdulaziz University and the English Language Center at Umm Al-Qura University. This is to help achieve their goals in light of a joint work plan in the academic fields, scientific research and training, supporting development and cultural programs, and achieving the agreed goals with high efficiency, in addition to holding specialized conferences and seminars for the organization and technical work of which the help of specialists and experts is sought.

The memorandum also aims to organize and hold training courses, and exchange studies, research, publications, and training materials issued by the two parties, to enrich the cognitive gains and keep up with the latest developments, publish applications and study cases, set up specialized programs for training staff and developing resources, market and manufacture research and development products and patents, participate in the development of the educational process, and conduct research and studies and publish their results.
