UQU College of Pharmacy Wins Third Place in the Clinical Skills Competition

Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the College of Pharmacy, won the third place in the National Competition for Clinical Skills launched by the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society during its annual conference, SIPHA 2020, held in Riyadh from 26 to 28 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1441 A.H.

Twenty-one colleges participated in the competition, four of which qualified for the final stage. The College of Pharmacy in Qassim University won first place, the College of Pharmacy in Taif University won second place, while the UQU College of Pharmacy won third place, represented by a group of students that included Ahmad bin Dakhilullah Al-Hazmi, Udayy bin Ibraim Mudhish, and Muhammad Abdul-Rahman Al-Hazmi, under the supervision of the Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Dr. Majid Ali.

The Student Pharmacy Club of the Deanship of Student Affairs also participated in the accompanying exhibition and briefed the audience about its outstanding achievements and activities and the annual journal of pharmacy with the view of achieving effective communication with the participating clubs from various Saudi universities.

The annual conference is considered a knowledge event to discuss the latest developments and the different pharmaceutical practices through a series of specialized workshops and lectures presented by experts from different local and international sectors to increase the knowledge of interested persons, researchers, and students in all areas of the pharmaceutical industry. This is in addition to the research posters exhibition, which contributes to encouraging researchers to present their research and exchange expertise with specialized persons.
