His Excellency Umm Al-Qura University President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, and the university employees gratefully expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may Allah safeguard him, regarding his directives to bring forward the exams for the second semester of the current year 1441 A.H. for the male and female students. The exams are now scheduled for Sunday, 10 Ramadan. Thus, the vacation following the end of the academic year will begin at the end of the working day, Thursday, 21 Ramadan.
His Excellency the President of the University stated that the decision to advance exams reflects the keenness and interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in supporting everything that serves the educational systems in the Saudi Kingdom and achieves benefit and interest for students in the various stages of general and university education. It also contributes to completing the educational process and fulfilling the educational, psychological and social gains that positively raises the rates of readiness and the appropriate preparation for the exams. His Excellency stressed the readiness of the university administration and all its sectors to implement the requirements of the Royal Decree.
Prof. Abdullah Bafail also praised the efforts of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh, for supporting the general and university education programs and for his continuous monitoring of the various development projects that support the interest of the students, developing their scientific and cognitive skills on various levels.
