The Department of Curricula and Instruction honored Mr. Ali Khalaf Al-Zahrani, the postgraduate student at the department in the program, "The Evaluation of Educational Curricula and Programs", for his nomination for the 22 round of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award in the category of the Outstanding Arab Gulf Teacher.

Prof. Murdi bin Gharmullah bin Hasan Al-Kinani Al-Zahrani, the Vice Dean of the College of Education and program coordinator, explained that this year the program of "The Evaluation of Educational Curricula and Programs" attracted 34 outstanding male and female students, in the first batch. This program aims at refining the skills of learners in the field of curriculum evaluation, especially since there is a great demand for graduates of this program in the educational field.

Prof. Awad bin Salih Al-Maliki, the Head of the Department of Curricula and Instruction, stated that the Evaluation of Educational Curricula and Programs is a unique program at the level of the Arab world, and is offered only in the College of Education at Umm Al-Qura University. It is one of the programs that have been newly introduced in the department. In this context, consultations were held with some bodies to forge partnerships with the department in order to benefit from the department's postgraduates, and also prepare and train vocational skills in the field of curriculum evaluation.
