The mother of Dr. Hassan Jaafar Thabit, former Dean of Information Technology, Admission and Registration, and Library Affairs; Dr. Muhammad Thabit, Dean of Academic Development and Quality; and Mr. Ghassan Thabit, an employee at the Deanship of Information Technology, passed away at dawn on Sunday. The funeral prayer was offered at the Sacred Mosque in the afternoon, Sunday, 3 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1441 A.H. The deceased was buried in Al-Mu`llah Cemetery.

Consolations will be offered at Al-Sabban mosque in Al-Nuzahah district for males, and will be at the deceased house behind Al-Sabban mosque for females.

His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, expressed his sincere consolations to the bereaved family. He also supplicated Allah (Exalted be He) to encompass the deceased with His mercy and forgiveness, and to grant patience and consolation to her family.

Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.
