The Public Relations and Media Department displayed remarkable event management abilities in the successful events organized inside and outside the university. This distinguished role was demonstrated during its participation with the university's Intellectual Awareness Unit, in the organization of a lecture given by His Excellency the Chairman of the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Sanad. The lecture was held on Thursday, 15 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., at King Abdulaziz Historical Hall under the title: 'The Necessity to Listen and Obey Those in Authority and Keep to the Mainstream Community'. This lecture took place within the framework of the activities of the Intellectual Security Forum held under the title: 'Affiliation and National Unity', in the presence of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail.
The lauded efforts exerted by the employees of the department, under the supervision of the director Mr. Khalid bin Jameel Morsi and his assistants, in both the male and female sections, in the coordination, preparation, and arrangement of the event contributed to its success as befitting the refined status of Umm Al-Qura University.
