SAFE Center Discusses Aspects of Boosting Security and Safety to Ensure Development Sustainability

The Advisory Board of the Center for Safety, Risk and Crisis Management (SAFE) organized the first meeting on Wednesday, 21 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., corresponding to 18 December, 2019 A.C., at the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies at Umm Al-Qura University. The meeting, which was headed by His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bahusain Bafail, was held to discuss the center's development plans and the future of the security and safety fields, in the presence of the center's consultants.

Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Sha`iri, gave a detailed presentation on the specialized consultancy services offered by SAFE Center to the beneficiaries, and the relevant research studies conducted in the field of safety and risk management. He highlighted the significant role undertaken by the center in qualifying specialists in the field of security and safety through executive diplomas in health, construction safety, professional safety, and risk management, and the training programs certified by IOSH and IIRSM.

During the meeting, the advisory board discussed the importance of increasing community awareness on enhancing security and safety to ensure sustainable national development, the employment of modern technologies to develop consultancy and training solutions, the building of strategic partnerships with the legislative bodies of security and safety in the governmental sector, and the use of the specialized world expertise in this same field.

It is worth mentioning that SAFE Center is considered one of the most important initiatives, which was approved and adopted in the National Transformation Program 2020 due to the center's unique importance in the field of security and safety for members of the community and the various national professional institutions.
