A Meeting on the ‘Administrative Promotions: Criteria for Differentiation’ at the Deanship of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs

The UQU Vice President, Dr. Farid bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, highlighted the need for the university employees to constantly develop their scientific and administrative skills, and to acquire more knowledge that will help them to develop the work system, stressing the importance of working with a team spirit.

This came during a meeting to introduce administrative promotions and the differentiation criteria, which was organized by the UQU Vice Presidency, represented by the Promotion Department at the Deanship of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs. The meeting was held in King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall, in the presence of the Administrator of the Ministry of Civil Service account for Umm Al-Qura University, Mr. Muhammad bin Muslih Al-Jadaani, the vice deans, the Director of the Deanship of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs, Mr. Elias Darji, the Head of the Promotions Department, Mr. Marwan bin Dakhilullah Al-Sulami, and a number of directors and employees of the deanships, colleges and various bodies of the university.

Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi said, "We will carry out the administration of the university, with the support of His Excellency the Director, to provide the creative, educational and development environment that helps the employees to be creative and enables them to progress, developing the work to achieve the desired goals and fulfill the aspirations of the wise leadership (may Allah support them)."

The Head of the Promotion Department at the Deanship of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs, Mr. Marwan bin Dakhilullah Al-Sulami, gave an introductory presentation on the articles of the executive regulations for administrative promotions, and the main approved criteria of differentiation concerning the promotion of employees inside the university, including job performance evaluation, training courses, training and development programs, and tests taken.

Next, the Administrator of the Ministry of Civil Service account for Umm Al-Qura University, Muhammad bin Muslih Al-Jadaani, spoke about the Masar System of administrative promotions under the new human resources regulation of the civil service.
