The Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, in collaboration with the College of Applied Sciences, represented by the Department of Chemistry, organized e-exams for the students of the College of Applied Sciences and the students of the Joint First Year, for the general chemistry course (theoretical and practical). These exams included (63) divisions containing (1250) students. The students were distributed among 6 labs provided by the deanship for conducting the exams, in cooperation with the Joint First Year Deanship.

The Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education provided all facilitations for conducting the e-exams. Dr. Ahmad bin Muhammad Hameed, the E-Learning Vice Dean for Development and Entrepreneurship, pointed out that e-exams save time, effort, and money for the academic staff, and significantly stimulate the motivation to learn on the part of the students. He added that these types of exams have certain advantages that are lacking in traditional exams. He paid tribute to the efforts exerted by the Department of Chemistry for activating the e-learning system with all its tools, especially the e-exams.

On his part, Dr. Khalid bin Hatim Al-Mutairi highlighted the importance of implementing the e-exams, as they are easy to conduct, for both the students and academic staff. The teacher can establish a question-bank of different levels, covering all lectures of the course, which will help develop and facilitate the planning of the exam. He pointed out that the e-exams have several advantages, the most important of which are the flexibility in their organization, transparency in evaluation and grade assignment, speed and accuracy in the listing of the scores attained, and the ability to automatically upload them to the e-learning system. He also praised the efforts of the academic staff who had been involved in the modern learning system, and who prepared e-exams for the current semester.

It is worth mentioning that these exams were conducted with the follow-up of Dr. Khalid bin Hatim Al-Mutairi, the Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education, and under the field supervision of Dr. Ahmad bin Muhammad Hameed, the E-Learning Vice Dean for Development and Entrepreneurship, the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Hatim Al-Tas, the Head of the Chemistry Department, Dr. Ismail Al-Thaqafi, the Head of the Department of Information Systems, Mr. Raid Ghazzawi, and the Systems, Digital Production and Public Relations team at the deanship.
