As part of the cooperation program between Umm Al-Qura University and the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Umm Al-Qura University will organize a lecture entitled, "The Necessity of Listening and Obeying Those in Authority and of Adhering to the Mainstream Muslim Majority". It will be delivered by by the Chairman of the General Presidency of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Sanad, on Thursday, 15 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., at King Abdulaziz Support Hall in Al-Abdiyyah. It will be held as part of the events of the Intellectual Security Forum to develop and strengthen attachment to the homeland, obedience to those in authority among the people in society, and protection from deviant thoughts.

The forum is held under the patronage of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of the Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, under the title, "Affiliation and National Unity". The aim of the forum is to immunize and treat intellectual aberrations, deepen loyalty and the sense of belonging to this blessed land and its rulers, and clarify the rights of the rulers, the obligation to obey them, and the importance of consulting scholars. Moreover, the forum aims to spread correct, balanced ideas among the different segments of society, thereby reflecting the stability and prosperity of the homeland.
