The Deanship of Student Affairs at Umm Al-Qura University held a training course on Monday, 12 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., entitled, "Photography", within the educational courses of the 11th Scientific Meeting for the university students. The aim of the event was to provide the students with a detailed introduction to professional photography and the most significant techniques of modern photography.

The course was delivered by a professional trainer and the head of artistic production at the Media Center, Mr. Hasan bin Ali Al-Qurbi, in the student training hall at the Student Activities Building at Al-Abdiyyah. During the course, the students learned about the basic principles of professional photography through an intensive theoretical explanation and practical applications. The presentation enabled the students to understand all the artistic details, such as the types of cameras and lenses and how to use them, the techniques of photography, an explanation of the base of the exposure triangle, and a description of image modification using image processing software.

It is worthy of note that the UQU Media Center endeavors to make use of its qualified cadres in serving the university.
