The Intellectual Awareness Unit held a lecture entitled, "Efforts Exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Promote Islamic Studies: Scholarship Students as an Example". The lecture was held on Sunday, 4 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., in Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Baz Hall, and was transmitted through the network to the female section. Dr. Salih bin Dirbash Al-Zahrani gave a speech in which he welcomed the audience and introduced them to the topic of the lecture. Dr. Hasan bin Abdul-Hamid Bukhari, the Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, gave a lecture explaining the efforts the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has exerted to promote Islamic studies, especially as it receives students from all countries of the world every academic year. It also gives them academic places at the expense of the kingdom, to contribute to promoting Islamic studies in their countries after graduating from Saudi universities.
Moreover, Dr. Hasan Bukhari presented the model of the university as an example of these efforts. He explained how it contributed to the graduation of classes that become involved in the promotion of Islamic studies, being one of the first universities to do this.
At the end of the meeting, all inquiries and questions pertaining to the topic of the lecture were answered.
