Celebrating the anniversary of the fifth pledge of allegiance to King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, underlined that the fifth anniversary of the pledge of allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may Allah safeguard him), comes as our beloved homeland continues its comprehensive development, accomplishing qualitative achievements at various levels, with special attention paid to the educational institutions. One of the manifestations of such care and attention was the approval of the New System of Saudi Universities, which will greatly benefit the Saudi educational institutions, empowering Saudi universities to take their rightful place next to some of the largest international universities. Moreover, it provides universities with a considerable degree of disciplined independence to achieve the desired development objectives.

In his statement, His Excellency stressed that this great development mirrors the continuous development of our beloved homeland and future prosperity for the Saudi citizens, through the implementation of the plans and objectives of the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030, in which every citizen sees the desired bright future for our beloved country. Moreover, His Excellency pointed out that during this blessed tenure, the kingdom continues to assign special care and attention to the Two Holy Mosques and their honorable guests, in line with the path which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has followed since its unification at the hands of the Founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud (may Allah bestow His mercy on him).

In addition, His Excellency underlined that such special care is manifested in the attention paid to the architectural development of the Holy Mosque in Makkah, the Prophet's mosque in Madinah, and the Holy Sites, coupled with the upgrading of all services extended to their visitors as well as harnessing scientific research to develop the system of Hajj, Umrah and visits to the sites. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research at Umm Al-Qura University provides consultancy and research support for the development of the system of Hajj, Umrah and visits, conducting dozens of research and field studies annually. Such lauded efforts contributed to the provision of integrated solutions for the system, and increased the numbers of pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah.

Moreover, His Excellency highlighted that whoever follows the course of this fruitful development of this blessed tenure can easily notice the remarkable levels of security, safety, prosperity, stability and continued growth enjoyed by our country, all praises and thanks be to Allah. Such achievements are adorned with a unique social unity and national cohesion. Concluding his statement, His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bahusain Bafail, renewed his pledge of allegiance and support for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman (may Allah safeguard them), to show compliance and obedience, and shoulder the duty of citizenship towards our wise leadership and our beloved country.
