President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas praised Saudi King Salman as the leader who managed to maintain prosperity in the Kingdom by achieving strategic goals and protecting Saudi resources in addition to establishing fruitful cooperation between Muslim and Arab worlds.
Dr. Assas made the remarks to commemorate the second anniversary of Saudi King's rule. The king has been able to lead the kingdom on way to achieve success inside and outside the country and realizing goals of development and prosperity. Dr. Assas added over these two years the Saudi people gave example of unity and loyalty to their leader in order to boost political and economic role played by the country at the regional and world levels.
In this time, King Salman inaugurated a number of development projects in Ras Al-Khair. He paid official visits to sister countries in the Gulf region, Dr. Assas noted, saying he chaired Saudi delegation to the 37th summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Manama. The summit was important for the unity of Gulf stats and a one Arab and Muslim voice at international organizations, the president added.
He said: "The Saudi-led Arab and Muslim coalition in Yemen drove a campaign to restore hope and reinstate the legitimate government in order to keep the country in one piece."
The “North Thunder” military drill in northern Saudi Arabia was another proof on the wise leadership and the king's well-aware understanding of the Arab, regional and international political affairs."
The UQU President lauded decisions taken by the King, saying they have unprecedented political and social impacts. The king is fully aware of the importance of the positive consequences and effects that touch different groups of the society.
Dr. Assas said the king is keen on supporting the people and meeting their needs to improve the quality of life as per a well-advised theory about the future.
He, the president continues, is wisely leading the kingdom into the future to diversify resources, build a knowledge-based economy and maximize benefit of Saudi people potentials as well as the good investment for the best interest of homeland.
Dr. Assas prayed to Allah to protect the country, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince.
