The digital photo atlas of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the sacred sites, which was exhibited at Umm Al-Qura University pavilion in the 44th Kuwait International Book Fair, attracted the attention of school students in Kuwait, who came, one after another, to see the old photos of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the sacred sites.
The digital photo atlas of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the sacred sites is considered to be one of the outstanding works produced by Umm Al-Qura University, within a scientific series about Makkah Al-Mukarramah. This work was compiled by Dr. Miraj Marza, a former academic staff member at the Department of Geography. It contains photos and paintings of different periods of time. Some photos and paintings were rare in earlier periods, but became more common during the Saudi era. The book also includes photos, figures and explanations about this sacred area.
The book represents a visual example of scholars and researchers' output of research, studies and innovations, and includes a great amount of documentary photos and outstanding paintings of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the sacred sites, as well as informative explanations and a digital documentation on the main elements of the content.
The book has 325 pages full of amazing scenes, through which readers can move through time and place in a documentary showing details of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the sacred sites.
