The Department of Industrial Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah Holds a Course Entitled: ‘Demand Forecasting’

The College of Engineering, represented by the Department of Industrial Engineering, held a course entitled, "Demand Forecasting", presented by His Excellency the Engineer Abdul-Rahman Dahwi Al-Umari.

In this course, His Excellency addressed several topics revolving around the nature of forecasting, the role of forecasting in supply chains, characteristics of demand forecasting, components of demand forecasting, the method of forecasting using time series, and forecasting in oil sales (as a case study).

This course comes within the framework of raising the student's awareness of the importance of demand forecasting, and its role in the success of supply chains. The aim of such courses is to widen the scope of the student's knowledge of useful sciences.
