The College of Applied Medical Sciences (AMS) will organize an awareness lecture titled (Your Safe Work Environment) to be presented by the Head of the Physical Therapy Department in the College Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim on Monday  Rabie Al-Thani 4, 1438 H at the Support Hall 1.

The lecture is aimed at increasing awareness of the university affiliates including; faculty members, technicians and the administrative staff regarding the proper standing while working and giving lectures and the application of the proper sitting conditions during work hours. The lecture will also tackle methods of pushing and pulling things correctly and will witness the application of some exercises which will help in the prevention and treatment of work-related injuries.

   
In this regard, the Dean of the College of the Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Ashi said this awareness lecture comes as an initiative from the college to spread health awareness amongst the university affiliates and as an extension of several lectures provided by the college to increase public awareness amongst all categories of the community. He called upon the university affiliates to take advantage of these lectures and to avoid the negative effects of workplace injuries.  

Furthermore, Dr. Ashi extended his thanks and appreciations to the President of Umm Al-Qura University for his continuous support provided for such activities and his keenness and encouragement shown to offer whatever benefits citizens and residents in and outside the university.
