The General Administration of Digital Transformation Reinforces its Development Steps by Visiting its Counterpart in the UAE

The General Administration of Digital Transformation at the UQU has taken its first steps towards exploring the digital future of the Umm Al-Qura University systems, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, by upgrading the quality of education and enhancing it to enrich the user experience with the digital services, contributing to raising the interaction rates and improving the overall quality of life.

Following her visit to the headquarters of the Digital Transformation and Innovation Department at Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (PSUAD) in the UAE, Dr. Hanaa Yamani, the General Supervisor of the UQU General Administration of Digital Transformation, confirmed the Administration's intention to establish sustainable partnerships with local and Arab sectors in the field of digital transformation, to upgrade the global indicators of digital transformation at the university and enable it to function within the institutional framework.

During her meeting with Dr. Hamdan Al-Kalbani, the Head of the Digital Transformation and Innovation Department at the PSUAD, Dr. Hanaa, discussed the most important criteria required to activate the digital experience at the university, and reviewed the main challenges that arise during its application, as well as the ways to overcome them.

Dr. Hamdan considered the visit of Umm Al-Qura University to Abu Dhabi as a collaborative initiative that will contribute to the upgrading and development of the technical capabilities of both universities, promoting the exchange of development experiences in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and allowing the UQU to benefit from the advanced digital experience of the PSUAD during the past two years.
