President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, has issued an administrative decree based on the decision of the Minister of Education, appointing Her Excellency Dr. Fatimah bint Jabr bin Awwad Al-Sulami as Dean of the College of Nursing for two years, as of 26 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1441 A.H. His Excellency asks Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) to help her and grant her success in performing her duty towards knowledge and its seekers, and in raising the standard of this university to enable it to reach its ultimate objectives.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah appreciated the persistent efforts exerted by the ex-Dean of the College of Nursing, His Excellency Dr. Ayman bin Khalid bin Ismael Jawharji, during his tenure of office. He gratefully acknowledged the praiseworthy and brilliant services that His Excellency rendered to the university, which significantly contributed to its advancement. He added that these accomplishments were the result of Allah's support, first and foremost, and then the support of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (may Allah protect him).
His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bahusain Bafail, congratulated Dr. Fatimah Al-Sulami on her appointment as Dean of the College of Nursing, and on gaining the trust of His Excellency the Minster of Education, who issued the decision to enable her to serve her country and society from this leading position. His Excellency applauded the support given by the people in power, may Allah assist them, to the women of all segments in this country to contribute and play their role in the comprehensive national development. The UQU President also expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, for this decision, which is in line with Saudi Vision 2030, and wished Dr. Fatima Al-Sulami progress and success in her endeavors to serve the university.
The new Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Fatimah Al-Sulami, expressed her deep thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership (may Allah grant it success) for supporting and empowering Saudi women, and granting them the status that befits them. She also commended the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, as part of this wise approach. She also hailed the confidence of His Excellency in her person to assume the duties of the Deanship of the College of Nursing. Moreover, she expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bahusain Bafail, for his support, and also thanked Her Excellency the UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs.
