On Thursday, a delegation from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties visited the College of Dentistry at Umm Al-Qura University. The delegation met with the dean, vice deans, and heads of departments. At the end of the visit, the delegation also met with His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail.
The delegation consisted of Dr. Wisam Abu Zanada, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Academic Affairs, Dr. Sami Al-Sulami, CEO of the Health Academy, Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, Regional Director for the Western Province, and Nawar Khan, Head of the Training Department, Western Province.
The visiting delegation discussed means of cooperation to increase training seats in postgraduate programs and Saudi fellowship specializations. In addition, there was a discussion on the possibility of cooperation between the Health Academy and the College of Dentistry to develop programs dedicated to the disciplines supporting dentistry.
