It also presented the experiences of women volunteer teams in Al-Qunfudhah governorate as a model, under the supervision of Ms. Taqwa Abdul-Karim. The activity was held on Wednesday, 16 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1441 A.H., at the college theater.
The ceremony began with the royal anthem, followed by recitation of the Qur'an. Next, the Vice Dean of the Female Student Affairs, Dr. Nuwair Bajabir, delivered a speech in which she welcomed the attendance of the members and leaders of volunteer teams, and pointed out that interest in volunteerism is a very important civilizational requirement. This was embodied and magnified in the vision 2030, which aspires to develop volunteer work and stems mainly from the citizen's sense of belonging to society within the framework of values, systems and instructions that are consistent with the reality of the people. She also pointed out that Islam is unique in having a comprehensive and integrated system, and volunteerism emerged as one of the rituals of faith that entrench the principle of solidarity and sincere brotherhood. Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to the people."
Next, the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazimi, delivered a speech in which she welcomed the attendees, and thanked them for their active participation and for enriching the program with their bright ideas. This was followed by a definition of volunteer teams, their most important goals and themes, and their role in serving the community.
