On Tuesday, 15 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1441 A.H., the Department of Chemistry organized an introductory meeting entitled, "Chemistry Between Idea and Creativity Up to Entrepreneurship", in collaboration with the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The meeting pointed out the vision and the mission of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which concentrates on creating an advanced knowledge-based economy through learning, training and development in innovation and entrepreneurship. It also indicated the strategic plan of the institute, and outlined its programs and activities that achieve its strategic goals. This meeting was offered by Her Excellency Dr. Najwa Samraqandi, the Advisor to the UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, and Vice Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The Deputy Head of the Department of Innovation and Creativity at the Institute, Ms. Suhair Saqti, gave on overview about creativity, and highlighted international examples of innovated startups in the field of chemistry. She also pointed out the basic points that permit chemists to be entrepreneurs.
