College of Community and College of Islamic Economics and Finance Convene to Discuss Bridging Process and Setting up New Specializations

A meeting between the deans of the College of Community and the College of Islamic Economics and Finance at Umm Al-Qura University concluded the agreement on establishing a "Bridging Committee" as well as another committee for the potential new diplomas, within the framework of joint cooperation between the two colleges.

The meeting was headed by the Dean of the College of Community, Dr. Essam Bazr`ah, and the Dean of the College of Islamic Economics and Finance, Dr. Muhammad Samman, and attended by the deans and heads of the departments of both colleges. It discussed the possibility and mechanism of bridging in the Banking specialization in both colleges, and the feasibility of establishing two diplomas of Insurance and Financing. The meeting also tackled the collaboration opportunities between the two colleges to open new diplomas suitable for the labor market.

The meeting was held in the College of Islamic Economics and Finance, and aimed to foster the scientific movement, benefit the UQU students and colleges, and create new educational opportunities for the students.

On his part, Dr. Muhammad Samman stressed the importance of exchanging experience among the UQU colleges and consultancy firms, serving the best interests of the UQU students.

His Excellency Dr. Esam Bazar`ah, the Dean of the Makkah Community College, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Dean of the College of Islamic Economics and Finance, Dr. Muhammad Samman, for his constant fruitful and positive cooperation, indicating the importance of exchanging experience among the various colleges. Moreover, he noted that such a meeting fosters the principle of cooperation and integration between the UQU colleges, which serves the interest of the university and its students, and benefits our beloved homeland.
