The General Administration of Projects Unveils Its Strategic Plan to the President

The General Administration of Projects, Umm Al-Qura University, presented a detailed overview of its strategic plan today, Monday, and its goals set for the coming year. This was during the meeting organized by the General Administration of Projects for its staff with the Umm Al-Qura University President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, at King Abdulaziz Historical Hall, Al-Abdiyyah. The meeting was attended by the UQU Vice President, Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi, the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, and the staff of the General Administration of Projects.

The general supervisor of the University Vice Presidency for Branches and Projects, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hazimi, gave a detailed presentation on the strategic plan to be followed by the administration in order to provide an attractive educational and spatial environment for the university students and staff. He talked about the most important development projects that have been accomplished in the University City at Al-Abdiyyah and the branches of the university in Jamoum, Al-Leith, Al-Qunfudhah, and Adham. The strategic objectives centered on diversifying sources of income, maintaining and developing assets, improving the work environment, and contributing to strengthening the educational environment.

Dr. Al-Hazimi stressed that the General Administration of Projects seeks to make the university among the best university edifices in Saudi Arabia by 2030. This can be achieved by providing an attractive learning environment through infrastructure development, maintaining and improving the university buildings, and providing all the required services that will make Umm Al-Qura University's education experience a pioneering and distinctive experience.

During the meeting, the former Director of Facilities and Services Department, Engineer Abdullah Al-Jefri, was honored for the efforts he made during his administration, which caused a quantum leap in the level of the quality of the university environment services and the development of public facilities in the University City and all the university branches.
