The Student Activities Advisory Board at the Deanship of Student Affairs, Umm Al-Qura University, in a meeting today, discussed the recommendations of its previous meeting with His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail. The recommendations included tenders for the completion of the preparation of the playground project, and a study on the establishment of an internal rest area and a camp for student activities in the dormitory at Al-Abdiyyah. In addition, detailed layouts of the major university projects were discussed, as well as the rehabilitation of one of the halls in Al-Aziziyyah branch, which will be used for rehearsals and activities of the Theater Club.
The meeting, headed by the Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Sunbul, and attended by the Vice Dean for Activities and Training, Dr. Yassir Al-Hazmi, and the Board Secretary, student Abdul-Rahman Al-Samadani, discussed the mechanisms for approving and actualizing the executive rules governing the work of the Board Council, defined internal means of communication among the members of the council in coordination with the Deanship of Information Technology, and made a list of the needs for electronic and educational devices to be provided by the competent authorities.
Members of the Board also discussed appointing a coordinator of the Supreme Council for Student Activities, headed by His Excellency the University President and represented by the Vice President for Educational Affairs, with the participation of the Vice President for Branches and Projects, the Vice President for Student Affairs, and a number of administrative leaders.
The meeting was attended by the Vice Dean, Dr. Talal Muthanna, Vice Dean for Student Services, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Lahibi, Vice Dean for Student Services, Dr. Loloah Al-Harthi, Vice Dean for Counseling, Guidance and Community Partnership, Dr. Amal Khairo, Vice Dean for Student Activities and Training, Dr. Nahlaa Hariri, Vice Dean for Student Support, Dr. Afnan Farouqi, and leaders of the student clubs in the male and female sections.
