The Vice President of Umm Al-Qura University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdul-Wahab Al-Resini, visited the university corner in the 38th Sharjah International Book Fair, which is held under the slogan "Open a Book, Open Minds". The book fair, which is organized by the Sharjah Book Authority, with the participation of 2000 publishing houses from 81 countries, will continue until the 9th of November.
The Vice Dean of Library Affairs, Dr. Amina Al-Ahmadi, headed the UQU delegation to the book fair. During her reception of the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Amina presented an explanation of the contents of the book fair, highlighting the visitors' admiration of the scientific development of the most prestigious Saudi universities.
Prof. Al-Resini praised the cultural role of the university corner in stressing its support for cultural and scientific mobility, through the qualitative and research publications presented to visitors of the fair. He appreciated the role played by the supervising authority of the Saudi Kingdom pavilion at the Sharjah Book Fair, represented by the Saudi Cultural Mission in the United Arab Emiates.
