The Deanship of Students Affairs in Umm Al-Qura University is to hold the final celebration of the competition “Huffadh Al-Wahy'ain” (Memorizers of the Holy Quran and Hadith). The celebration, that is to be held on next Monday 04/07/1437 Hijri, April 11, 2016 in the Grand Mosque in Al-Abidiah, is to be attended by the University President and the jury is to include Sheikh Dr. Khalid Al Ghamdi and Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Awad Al-Jahni, Imams of the Grand Mosque. Over 550 students took part in the six branches divided between the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
The Head of the Deanship for Students Affairs, Dr. Amr bin Taha Al-Saqaf, noted that this competition is the first to include all faculties of the University.
Dr. Faisal bin Awad Barwis, the Deputy Head of the Deanship of Students Affairs for Students Activities and Training and the Head of the Supervisory Committee over the Competition, said that the juries of the competition include a group of professors of the Quranic Recitations (Qira'at) Department and the Department of Quran and Sunnah in the Faculty of Da’wa and Islamic Theology.
