His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, inaugurated the rest house assigned for the parents visiting the female students at the female Campus in Al-Zahir, after it had been rehabilitated and renovated. The Supervisor of Project Management, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hazmi, attended the launching ceremony, together with the Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, Dr. Ali Al-Sha`iri, the vice deans of the institute, and the CEO of Wadi Makkah Real Estate Company, Dr. Wadee Barqawi.

He checked on the contents of the building, which took the parents convenience while waiting for their daughters into consideration. The building included an air-conditioned lounge, prayer area, tea and coffee corner, as well as other facilities, such as toilets and washbasins, in an area of approximately 150 square meters. The building was renovated by Wadi Makkah Real Estate Company, under the support of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute.

The UQU President lauded all those who contributed to the rehabilitation and renovation of the building. He added, "We always aim to develop the university facilities, presenting them in the best condition to serve our male and female students and their parents, and provide them with the proper educational environment."
