In King Saud Hall at Al-Abdiyyah Campus, His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, honored the male and female participants in the voluntary services of the Hajj Season 1440 A.H. during the celebration held by the Deanship of Student Affairs in the presence of the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Suruji, the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sara bint Omar Al-Khuli, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Sunbul, and a number of deans, vice deans and vice deans of the Deanship of Student Affairs.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Sunbul, praised the effective role of the voluntary students in serving the guests of Al-Rahman in the Hajj and Umrah seasons, indicating the role and importance of voluntary work in boosting the students' self-confidence and increasing their practical experience. He further added that voluntary work strongly supports the governmental efforts in offering comprehensive care for the guests of Allah's Sacred Mosque and the Makkan society. Next, he extended his thanks to His Excellency the President of the University for his continuous support of programs and activities launched by the Deanship of Student Affairs. He also thanked the success partners in the voluntary activities for their role of supervising students and supporting voluntary work.

In his speech on behalf of the students, Muaz bin Osama bin Zafer, a student from the College of Public Health and Health Informatics, highlighted the role of voluntary work in reflecting a positive image of both the individual and the society, and how volunteers often have good morals and high humane values.

In her speech on behalf of the female student participants, the student Maryam Al-Zahrani referred to the voluntary work offered by the university in the Hajj season as enhancing the Saudi Vision 2030 with regard to enhancing the concept and understanding of voluntary work in the Saudi Vision 2030.
