Post Graduate Studies Holds Workshop on University Role in Saudi Vision 2030

The Deanship of Post Graduate Studies at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) will organize on Wednesday (8/3/1438H) a workshop dubbed "Roles played by universities, research and social study centers in achieving Saudi Vision 2030".

It is scheduled to be attended by Head of National Center for Social Studies (NCSS) Dr. Saleh Abdulaziz Al Nassar and Head of the Research and Social Advices Department at the center Dr. Abdullah Hussein Al Khalifa. The workshop was held at King Abdulaziz Hall in Al-Abdiyah and would be aired on CCTV system to Aljawhara Hall (for female students).

During the workshop, Dean of the Postgraduate Studies Professor Salih bin Abdullah Al-Firaih said a number of sessions are planned to be held periodically to follow up implementation of principles of the Saudi Vision 2030 in the deanship's programs.

The seminar introduces NCSS to participants and its experience in achieving the Saudi Vision 2030 and research priorities for postgraduate students in addition to scholarships, services, and facilities provided for researchers, he said.

Al-Firaih highlighted support given by President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas in light of the requirements of Saudi Vision 2030.

He voiced thanks to Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan al-Harbi and employees for their sincere efforts.
