His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, stressed that the National Day is a special occasion that gathers all people under its umbrella. This event inspires us with the sublime signs of cohesion between the wise leadership in this great country and its loyal people. It reminds us of the values and gains that were achieved for this country in the course of 89 years of great national unity.

Today, he stressed, when launching the first activities celebrating this occasion at his office in collaboration with the Department of Public Relations and Media, in the presence of the vice presidents, and the participation of the affiliates of the University President's Office and the Department of Public Relations and Media, that our religious and national duty necessitates upon us to thank Allah (Exalted and Glorified be He) for the blessings He has bestowed upon us in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The first of these blessings is the blessing of security, faith and a good standard of living that the citizens and residents enjoy. His Excellency asks Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) to perpetuate development, prosperity and stability on our country under the leadership of His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince (may Allah protect them), and their wise government.
