The UQU President Receives the Annual Report about Anti-Narcotics Programs in Makkah

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Bafail, the UQU President, received the annual awareness-raising report relating to preventive programs for combating narcotics in the holy capital during the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. The report was submitted to him in his office at Al-Abdiyyah by the Director of the Department, Lieutenant-Colonel Adil Al-Ghamdi, in the presence of the Director of the Department of Preventive Affairs and Public Relations at the Anti-Narcotics Department in Makkah, Farid Al-Maiman.

Lieutenant-Colonel Adil Al-Ghamdi reviewed the efforts of the Anti-Narcotics Department in the holy capital during the past year, and its strategic partnership with the university in awareness and preventive aspects. These efforts resulted in 10 programs in the form of exhibitions, seminars, and workshops. The lieutenant expressed his praise for the cooperation of the university administration, which contributed to the success of the awareness-raising plans on the harm and hazards of narcotics to the society.

On his part, His Excellency the UQU President praised the programs offered by the Narcotics Department in the holy capital which made a positive impact on the protection and safeguarding of university students from drugs and their harm. Finally, he welcomed the strengthening and development of the mechanisms for providing awareness programs for this year in a way to extend their preventive benefits to all university students.
