The Quality Team at Umm Al-Qura University determined 180 days for the program of the Qur'an and the Sunnah and also the program of Islamic Culture to obtain national program accreditation. This was during the meeting that was headed by the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani bin Uthman Ghazi, at the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion. This meeting was attended by the Dean of the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion, Dr. Faisal Ghazzawy, heads of the departments, the Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Muhammad Thabit, vice deans, and the advisors.
Dr. Hani Ghazi pointed out that the goal of this meeting was to prepare the college to obtain national program accreditation for all its programs, especially the program of the Qur'an and the Sunnah and the program of Da`wah and Islamic Culture, seeking to obtain their accreditation from the Education Evaluation Commission within 180 days. He also explained that program accreditation from the commission is an extension of the action plan of university development and quality improvement, for all university programs to obtain national program accreditation.
Dr. Muhammad Thabit explained that the Deanship of Academic Development works to consolidate the methodology of all-round quality, and the processes of ensuring, developing and improving them in academic, administrative and research systems for the sake of ensuring the improvement of its educational and research outputs. He indicated that they will cooperate with all colleges represented in its academic departments to adapt its programs in accordance with the latest international standards in the educational process.
Dr. Faisal Ghazzawi pointed out that the college seeks, through its strategic goals and plans, to disseminate Islamic legal knowledge moderately, and achieve the right methodology of the sound religion. It also intends to safeguard the Islamic heritage. Out of keenness to perfect and improve its work, the college seeks to obtain program accreditation for all the programs of the college.
