Under the patronage of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the Public Relations and Media Department organized a ceremony to launch the Arabic Poetry Encyclopedia. This took place on Wednesday, 12 Muharram, 1441 A.H., in the University President's Office in Al-Abdiyyah (for males). 

The ceremony was broadcast at the female section in Al-Zahir via a closed-circuit television system, and was attended by vice deans, academic staff, and female students.
