College of Social Sciences Organizes Introductory Meeting on E-Learning System

The College of Social Sciences organized on Thursday 2nd RabieI 1438H an introductory meeting for E-Learning male and female students. The meeting aimed at introducing students to the UQU E-Learning Portal, the environment of e-learning, and the most significant tools they could benefit from. On top of such tools came the submissions folder, e-content preview, and staff members’ opportunities. The meeting was attended by on behalf of the Dean of the College. The attendees also included many male and female members of staff and students of all specializations at the College; the female attendees were at Al-Jawhara Hall, Females Section.

During the meeting, Dr. As’ad Al-Samirani and Eng. Mahmoud Khidr from the Deanship of E-Learning fully explained to the attendees how to use the Portal. In addition, they answered the questions of staff members and students. They also extended thanks to UQU Leaderships, on top of whom was the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Dr. Bakri Bin M'atooq Assas, for the establishment of such portal and development thereof through the most recent technologies in such domain. 

In this framework, Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmed Othman Ba-Saqr, Dean of the College of Social Sciences, declared that using such portal was considered a cultural shift for UQU which had applied the international standards in such domain. He added that under its wise leadership, UQU had always been working to develop all its programs and practical institutions for the service of all UQU affiliates. Besides, he expressed gratitude to the Public Relations and Media Commission, which was headed by Prof. Hatim Khaimi, for its wonderful organization of the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Khaled Al-Ghamdi, Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and Development, appreciated such meeting. He extended thanks to the Dean and leaderships of the College for their continuous hard work for the development of the College, which in turn benefits the public good of the students and staff members. He also praised the perfect discipline of and large benefits from such meeting.
