Today, His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, launched the fifth version of the 'Confident Start' Forum for new male and female students, in the presence of UQU's Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Suruji, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Sunbul, the vice deans of the deanship, and the deans of the supportive colleges and deanships, in King Saud Hall in Al-Abdiyyah University City.

Following the inauguration, His Excellency visited the pavilions participating in the forum, which represented an integral system of services for new students, in addition to the participating colleges in all specialties and the supportive deanships, institutes, and research centers. His Excellency listened to a detailed description from the Dean of Student Affairs about the services offered to students during the events of the forum. Moreover, he reviewed the Smart Card service that contributes to the facilitation of the students' academic procedures at the university.

His Excellency pointed out that this forum ensures a confident start for new students by introducing them to the different departments, deanships and colleges of the university, and the services available to them. He remarked that UQU prepared all its capabilities and supplies, including the training cadres and the buildings, to ensure an appropriate environment for students, indicating that the university receives great support from the wise leadership - may Allah support them.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Sunbul, clarified that the forum is in its fifth year, after the successes it achieved in the previous years. He added that the forum is designed to prepare new students and inform them of the services offered by the university and the Deanship of Student Affairs.

It is noted that the forum had an impressive attendance by the students during its first day, in both the male and female sections.
