Today, Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, has started to organize the New Students Forum under the slogan of 'Confident Start'. The forum will receive more than 13,000 students in King Saud Hall in Al-Abdiyyah, and will be held with the aim of introducing the students to all aspects of university life as well as the work carried out by the UQU colleges and supportive deanship. In addition, the forum aims to raise students' awareness about their rights and duties, as well as the services of the student clubs.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Sunbul, clarified that the preparations for the forum have taken more than 300 hours, and have been implemented with the participation of 35 UQU administrations and 100 volunteering students from the Deanship of Student Affairs. He added that the forum will last for three days and will receive 13,000 students. He also clarified that the university has specified five day hours for male students and five night hours for female students.
Dr. Omar Sunbul mentioned that the forum has been prepared to give the new students sufficient information about the university's programs and activities. In addition, the university has specified for the students a compulsory track that will enable them to review all the contents of the forum, and to learn about all their rights and the different programs offered by the university before they receive their university cards.
