Umm Al-Qura University's Scouts participate in serving the pilgrims of the Great Mosque of Makkah for the 1440 A.H. Hajj season. They are contributing with four teams of scouts in the public service camps and a scout team in the Muslim World League, with a total number of 80 rovers and 3 supervisors.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Siraj Sunbul, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Talal bin Ali Muthanna, and the Director of Scouts Activities, Mr. Abdul-Rahim bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, paid a field visit to the headquarters of the scouts in the holy places on Monday evening 4 Dhul-Hijjah, 1440 A.H. They were received by the leader of the Arafat campus, Wagdi Al-Saeid, the leaders of the campus, and UQU's young scouts. In addition, the Assistant Leader, Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Shaikhi, the leader of the survey and grouping of the pilgrims, received them at the headquarters of the scouts.
His Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs delivered a speech to the students in which he urged and encouraged them to work and serve the guests of Al-Rahman patiently and with dedication. At the end of the meeting, the students who were participants in the "Contest of the Installation of the Map" were honored due to achieving first place. Moreover, three others were honored for winning the daily competitions.
