The Initiatives Management and Vision Realization Office at the University participated in a workshop on "The National Volunteering Portal". The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, in collaboration with the Vision Realization Office at the Ministry of Education and the participation of Tamkeen Technologies. The aim of the event was to train the supervisors of the volunteering bodies on how to use the national portal.

The workshop was held in Riyadh on Wednesday, 7 Dhul-Qi`dah, 1440 A.H., at the headquarters of the Vision Realization Office in the Ministry of Education. The main objectives of the workshop included: discussing ways of cooperation with different universities in the field of voluntary work, raising the awareness of the university representatives about the importance of participation in volunteering work, and linking the representatives of the volunteering departments in the universities with the supervisors in this field in the ministries of education and social development, in addition to the supervisors of volunteering work in the Tamkeen Technologies and Ghadan Consulting and Capacity-Building companies.

The participation of the university in this workshop comes within its concern to contribute to achieving one of the important aspects of the Saudi Vision 2030. The kingdom aims to develop the field of voluntary work through the Saudi Vision 2030, and increase the number of volunteers from 11 thousand to one million before the end of 2030.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Tamkeen Technologies gave a presentation about the mechanism of using the trial version of the volunteering portal, and how to enter the volunteering opportunities related to each party.
