On Tuesday, 18 Sha`ban, 1440 A.H., under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the Department of Public Relations and Media participated in the annual ceremony conducted by the university to honor male and female retirees for the year 1440 A.H. The ceremony was held under the slogan of the "Symbol of Giving", and took place in King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall in Al-Abdiyyah and Al-Jawhara Hall at Al-Zahir campus (female section).

At the end of the ceremony, the retirees were presented with memorial shields in recognition of their efforts and contributions in serving Umm Al-Qura University.
