Under the auspices of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail, the Public Relations and Media Department participated in the inauguration of the "Makkah: Between Heritage and Originality" festival on Tuesday, corresponding to 5 Rajab, 1440 A.H., which lasted for three months. The festival was organized by the Museums Department in participation with a number of bodies.

The festival gave attention to heritage originality, innovative works of art and visual arts, as well as other events. His Excellency inaugurated the Saudi Historical Society's branch in Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, in the presence of the society's president, Dr. Abdullah Al-Zaidan, and a number of its members in different universities.
